Biography

I enjoy helping people feel fantastic in their bodies and to enjoy the things they love doing.

To treat both acute and chronic conditions, I use primarily Hellerwork Structural Integration and Neurovascular Release in bodywork sessions. I also occasionally use Visceral Manipulation, lymphatic drainage and neuromuscular re-education. I also teach movement education (based upon principals shared with Yoga, Tai Chi, Qigong, Hanna Somatics and Pilates) to better integrate the changes of bodywork.

I work with conditions such as: carpal tunnel syndrome, thoracic outlet syndrome, low/mid/upper back pain/tension, whiplash, neck pain/tension, shoulder pain/tension, poor posture, strains/sprains, hip pain/aches, "getting too old, too fast syndrome", plantar fasciitis/fasciosis, difficult breathing and surgery recovery (including joint replacements).

I also teach Tai Chi and Qigong classes as well as private instruction sessions.

I grew up in Eastern Washington, lived in Seattle for 20 years and have recently moved to Twisp, WA to be closer to nature. In my free time I enjoy hiking, backpacking, cross country skiing, making sauerkraut, practicing tai chi, tending chickens and gardening with my wife Sharon and our dog Zola.

Let's meet and see if we're a good fit. Schedule your free 20-minute intro session today.

“Quality of life starts with feeling connected in your body." - Jason Rumohr

"During a time of injury, I turned to Jason Rumohr for relief from the pain. Not only did I experience less pain, my entire body realigned, which allowed me to function more efficiently; colleagues even commented on my structure looking more relaxed and symmetrical. I need my instrument to function properly as a dancer, and the deep and deliberate body work Jason does helped me on every level."
